SSINKspiration Just for Kids: You're So Sweet!

Good morning!  With a crazy busy start to the weekend we shifted gears after Aidan left for scout camp for a week that will be a little more quiet.  I know he's having a great time and can't wait to hear about all his adventures.  Today on the SSINKspiration blog the designers are sharing projects for kids.  When I think kids card bold, bright colors definitely come to mind so this card definitely fits the bill.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Sparkle Embossing Folder.  Next I added a piece of Pumpkin Pie and Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper that I offset.

Next I took a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and ran it through the Big Shot with one of the pieces from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies for this fun star accent.  Before attaching the greeting I added a loop of Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Stitched-Edge Ribbon (I love how soft this ribbon is).

The greeting is from the You're So Sweet stamp set and I used Stampin' Write Markers to color just the word part of the stamp and then stamped it on Whisper White cardstock before cutting it out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I attached the greeting with dimensionals so the greeting could straddle the ribbon accent.

This card is so fun and cheery, it can't help but make you smile and know any kid, no matter their age young or old, will definitely smile when they receive this card.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for more inspiration.

  1. I love the bold colors on your card! Also, I would not have thought to use that piece from the treat bag framelits as a decorative layer on a card. Can't wait to try that!
