We're getting closer to Halloween so it's only fitting that I continue to share some spooky fun using the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set, this time using this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. I love not only bright, classic Halloween images and colors but also more muted and "elegant" looks which are perfect for this time of year.
I started using Basic Gray cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black as mat for the cardfront which is a piece of Monster Bash Designer Series Paper (I sponged around the edges so they were distressed even on the sides I had cut. I also added a piece of Terracotta Tile DSP from the 2019-2021 In Colors Designer Series Paper stack on the bottom and wrapped a piece of Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon around the seem.
I added a small vertical strip of DSP from the same Monster Bash DSP behind a piece of Basic Black cardstock that was cut out with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and then I used the Basic Pattern Decorative Mask and Embossing Paste that was colored with a little Basic Gray reinker for this fun textured piece (love this mask pattern!)
To finish off the card I added the greeting using the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set, and used Paper Snips to trim the "Have a" and "good time" and the Storybook Label Punch was used to punch out the "wicked" which was stamped in Terracotta Tile ink. All these pieces were attached with Basic Black Dimensionals and the final touch was to add some enamel dots from the Monster Bash Enamel Dots set (love all the different elements in this set!)
There is nothing I don't love about this card, it has a soft, spooky feel sure to send chills down the recipients spin as you wish them Happy Halloween greetings! Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using this sketch challenge and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.
