SSINKspiration Card Sketch SSINKCS48: Merry Little Labels

Good morning!  Today on the SSINKspiration blog we have a new design sketch to help spark your creativity.  I was busy this weekend working on samples for next weeks classes so I decided to use this sketch for one of the cards we will be making at the Mega Christmas Cards class (so excited to kick off all the Holiday card making!!)

I started with Emerald Envy cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that I embossed with the Big Shot and Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder.  Next I added a piece of the Be Merry Designer Series Paper (on sale as part of this month's designer series paper so it's the perfect time to stock up!) and I tucked a silver Foil Snowflake behind the DSP.

For the greeting I sued the Merry Little Labels stamp set and used Stampin' Write Markers to color directly on the stamp before stamping on Whisper White cardstock.  Then I used the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut it out (I ran it through twice to trim it down and get the rectangle shape using the square framelit).  I attached the greeting to the cardfront with dimensionals and the final touch is a bow tied with Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

This card is pretty simple but the addition of the sparkle and embossing up elevate and make for a lovely card, and certainly one you could make in multiples and not have problems mailing.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team created using this sketch and then play along, we would love to see what you create.

Also remember, there is still time to sign up for the Mega Christmas cards class this weekend, it's a great way to make 20 cards at once and have a great head start for the holidays!

  1. Diana, you are really good at coloring those stamps! Really a step up to have 2 colors on one stamp! And I love the sparkle from the foil snowflake!
