Masculine Monday: Hello, Sailor

Hello there matey!  It's the start of the week and boy is it starting off with a bang, tonight I'm attending a LIVE catalog premier for the new Stampin' Up! catalog and I can't wait to get a sneak peak to all the fabulous new stamps, colors, and accessories in store for us and see some wonderful friends.  Today over on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog the designers are sharing some wonderful masculine cards to provide a ton of inspiration.  My card uses the Hello, Sailor stamp set and I made it for my "best mate" and hubby.  The cardbase is Soft Suede and I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I stamped the anchor and wheel images in Soft Suede and Pacific Point Ink.  To that I added a piece of Pacific Point DSP from the Brights Collection Designer Series Paper Stack that is matted on Crumb Cake cardstock.

The greet was colored in with Soft Suede and Pacific Point Stampin' Write Markers before cutting it out with the Big Shot and the Label Collection Framelits.  I cut another label piece out of Soft Suede for a mat and embossed it with the Big Shot and the Lattice Textured Embossing Folder (remember this embossing folder is retiring so make sure to get it before it sells out).  The final touch was to add a piece of Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon for a little flag.

This card is so fun and classic, perfect to let your mate know how you feel.  Make sure to check out all the other cards created by the designers, lots of great inspiration for birthdays, Father's Day, any occasion you need.  It's going to be an interesting week, lots of rain so we'll see how that effects all the baseball and other activities that are on the agenda. I've included links to all the products used on this project for easy ordering.

Happy stamping,

Diana
