Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #PCC324: Meant to Be

Good morning!  Love is definitely in the air and we have some great products in this years Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs that sometimes less is more and just let these beauties take center stage.  Today Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and I used two different directions, Punch/Diecut-Valentines-Metallic, and Vintage-Valentines-Texture for this beauty.

I started with Soft Suede cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black cardstock as a mat for the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper (I love this simple woodgrain) and then stamped a small heart from the Meant to Be stamp set using Soft Suede ink in a diagonal cross the DSP.

Next I took a piece of the Grapefruit Grove Foil (a SAB freebie!) and cut it out with the Big Shot and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.  I took the center of the heart and embossed it with the Big Shot and Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder.  This foil paper is absolutely stunning embossed!

Next I stamped the greeting on Very Vanilla cardstock using Basic Black ink and cut it out with the same framelits.  I used a sponge and Soft Suede ink to sponge the scalloped heart and popped the greeting piece only up with dimensionals.

The final touch...a bow tied with Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon that was colored with my Calypso Coral Light Stampin' Blends Marker.

This card is perfection!  All the texture and shine from the foil is just what I wanted, and the background doesn't compete with the focal piece.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration using this challenge and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #307: Hello Cupcake

Good Morning!  It's the start of the new week and we're anxiously awaiting arrival of a little snow (honestly Aidan is much more excited than we are, haha!)  Today over on the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog we have a fun new inspiration challenge which is perfect since I've been busy working on Valentine's projects, love is in the air!  When I saw the cupcakes in the pictures I immediately jumped to the new Hello Cupcake stamp set (and so excited it's a Sale-a-bration freebie!)

I started with Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black cardstock as a mat for the All My Love Designer Series Paper and then added a strip of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper to add this pop of black.

Next I stamped the cupcake on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Gray, Flirty Flamingo, and Lovely Lipstick ink.  I decided to use a piece of the beautiful Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper (another SAB Freebie!) as a mat for the cupcake.

To finish off the card I stamped the greeting in Basic Black ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and cut it out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits and attached it with dimensionals.

This cupcake looks good enough to eat, and would be a perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day (just saying hubby, lol!)  Make sure to check out the other design team cards for inspiration and then we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC323: So Hoppy Together

Good morning!  I've been working on Valentine projects lately so they're on my mind so while I'm featuring the So Hoppy Together stamp set this week I decided to use these frogs to send valentine wishes and used this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge for the layout.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added Real Red as a mat for the Soft Suede cardfront which was embossed with the Big Shot and Oh My Starts Embossing Folder.

Next I used the So Hoppy Together to stamp this frog on Whisper White cardstock and used my Stampin' Blends to color him in (note, to help ground him I added some Crumb Cake at his feet so it looks like he's standing on dirt) and then cut him out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I used the same framelits to cut the mat oval out of Basic Black cardstock.

Now for the fun accents, I used the Big Shot and Be Mine Stitched Framelits to cut the little floral piece out of Crumb Cake cardstock (just wrap the cardstock so it matches the oval shape versus being straight) and then added a piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon behind the ovals.  I used the same framelits to cut the small heart out of Real Red cardstock and added some Rhinestones as accents.

The greeting is from this months Paper Pumpkin kit (which is totally adorbs and is exclusive to Paper Pumpkin subscribers which is why you need to be a member) and was stamped in Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the Classic Label Punch and attached with dimensionals.  The final touch is a small bow tied with Linen Thread.

I love how this card turned out and is perfect for dudes or if you don't want to go overboard with hearts, flowers, and pink (trust me I love all those things but not everyone I send cards to does) and this little frog looks like he's singing a love song perhaps?  Make sure to check out all the other great cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and then we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!

These Frogs are so Cute: So Hoppy Together!

Good afternoon!  Hopefully you enjoyed the weekend and were able to stay warm (it is crazy cold and windy right now so I'm happy to stay inside as much as possible, perfect crafting weather).  This week I've decided to  showcase the So Hoppy Together stamp set, a 2019 Sale-a-bration freebie that you will just love (this frogs are adorbs!!)  I also decided to use scrap on my desk for this project, the cardfront that was stamped with the Crackle Paint stamp was from a previous project I was working on and had a heart punched out of it so I created this card and my frog is completely hiding  the cut out, love with things work out like that, haha!

For this card I used Gray Granite cardstock for the cardbase and then addled the crackled stamped cardfront (I used Flirty Flamingo ink for this piece).  Next I stamped the cycling frog using Momento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and used by Granny Apple Green, Light Old Live, Smoky Slate, and Basic Black Stampin' Blends to color him in before cutting him out with the Big Shot and new Rectangle Stitched Framelits (this will quickly become a must have in your crafting toolbox!).  I used Basic Black for a mat and then used dimensionals to pop this piece up on the cardfront.

By using dimensionals on the frog piece I was able to thread a piece of Gray Granite 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon behind the piece and wrap it around the cardfront before tying a knot.  The final touch was to add the greeting, it's from the same stamp set and was stamped in Basic Black in on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and cut out with the 1" Circle Punch.  The 1 1/4" Circle Punch was used to cut the mat out of Granny Apple Green cardstock and then a dimensional was used to attach this piece to finish the card.

How could seeing this guy in your mailbox not put a smile on your face?  Don't forget right now, through March 31 we have Sale-a-bration so you earn exclusive stamps and product for free with every $50 in purchases (before shipping and tax).  Make sure to place your order soon and add this stamp set to your order so you can be crafting with him and his friends soon!
