SSINKspiration Here Kitty Kitty: Spooky Fun

Good morning!  I always love this time of year since it's so festive and a great opportunity to hang out with friends and family, definitely time well enjoyed.  Today the SSINKspiration designers are paying tribute to our feline friends, particularly the fabulous new Cat Punch.  We're all sharing projects using this fun punch and since I'm still working on Halloween projects I decided to keep it simple with this purr-fect Halloween card.

I started with Basic Black cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder.  I also added a strip of Spooky Night Designer Series Paper along the bottom.  On top of the DSP I added the greeting, from the Spooky Cat stamp set and was stamped in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I added the greeting with dimensionals and then added a couple Black Rhinestone Jewels on each side of the greeting.

For the main image I started by stamping the cat using the Spooky Cat stamp set.  I used both Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black ink, I love this look to make it kind of look calico and then punched it out with the Cat Punch.  I used the Big Shot and Layering Squares Framelits for both the Very Vanilla square and the Basic Black scallop square mat.  The final touch was to add a fun little hat for our cat, I just used the DSP and Paper Snips to cut out the hat and attached it to the cardfront with dimensionals.

I love classic Halloween colors and this card is so cute and fun I love it!  I'm sure after seeing all the different ideas for the cat punch even if your not a cat person, you will find this a useful tool in your crafting toolbox so make sure to order it while you can!
